We are looking for dedicated committee members who would like to serve on the planning committee for the 2012 season of the Free Movie Series. Director/Assistant Director -- Serve as primary liaison to the Summer of the Arts Board. Work with committee members to be sure all tasks and responsibilities are being met. Follow working budget for the FMS. Supervise each movie and event and introduce the films.
Secretary -- take notes at committee meetings, write short promotional blurbs on each movie, write descriptions of musical entertainment and/or special events for promotion. Keep track of procedures and records outlining FMS. Update the powerpoint presentation for each week with that week's movie and sponsor, but information on the next week.
Operations Director(s) -- Review and update operations manual as needed. Confirm that all equipment is stored together and in working order prior to each film. Operations Director, or appropriately trained individual must be at each film to oversee the setup and tear down of equipment.
Entertainment Director(s) -- Work with committee to determine any special entertainment before the movies. Confirm arrangements and attendance with performers 3-4 days prior to the event.
Volunteer Coordinator -- Establish guidelines for volunteer recruitment and duties to be performed. Provide release forms for volunteers and make sure they are completed and returned to the SotA office. Advise director of set-up/tear-down crews and confirm their attendance.
