Landlocked Film Festival

In 2007 Landlocked Film Festival debuted as Iowa's largest film festival. In joining the Summer of the Arts umbrella organization Landlocked is looking to grow and expand festival highlights and offerings. The 2008 festival is scheduled for August 21-24 in downtown Iowa City.

This year's festival features over 60 films, 5 workshops and multiple panel discussions. All events are free! The festival has films for all ages from all genres.

The Landlocked Film Festival was created to support independent filmmaking by bringing the best of independent world cinema to the American heartland, by providing workshops led by experts in their fields, and by fostering a dialogue between audiences and filmmakers.
