Global Village & Children's Day

Global Village:  Saturday, June 2nd from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

The Pedestrian Plaza will be filled with booths representing different countries and cultures.  Kids visiting the booths will be able to participate in an activity designed to teach them about another country!  They can pick up a passport and have it stamped at each booth in order to go into a drawing for great prizes!

Produced by the Iowa City Public Library, Children's Day is a feast for kids and kids-at-heart!  With arts-based activities throughout the Ped Mall, plus entertainment on the Family Stage and around the Weatherdance Fountain Area, there will be plenty of fun for everyone!

FUN Zone

This year's FUN Zone will be set up on the Ped Mall outside of the Iowa City Public Library.  We'll have the ever popular bouncy house, a novelty booth with beverages and cotton candy, plus a special booth for the Iowa Science Center with crafts that merge arts and science (space!).  The FUN Zone will be open the following days and hours:

 

Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, June 3 from Noon to 4 p.m.
