Founded in 2010 as Downtown Saturday Night, the Saturday Night Concert Series, presented by the Iowa City Downtown District and Integrated DNA Technologies, provides the opportunity for more local bands as well providing the opportunity for touring bands to perform each weekend.  The event runs every Saturday from 6:30 - 9 p.m. beginning in mid-May and running through early September (excluding the weekends of the Iowa Arts Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival and Iowa Soul Festival).

While children climb on the playground equipment, a diverse audience of all ages and cultural backgrounds come downtown to dance or kick back and relax in a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE music.

Remember, there are dozens of downtown restaurants and a wide variety of food carts downtown, so come hungry, fuel up, boogie down, and make a night of it!
