The 2014 Iowa Soul Festival, presented by Diversity Focus is moving to the UI Pentacrest and Clinton Street!

NEW this year -- we will feature a MarketPlace with a variety of different vendors.  To apply to participate in the MarketPlace, click HERE for an application.

This year's festival takes place on the Pentacrest and Clinton Street on September 19 & 20 with entertainment on Friday, September brought to you by Hancher.

On Sunday, September 21, there will be a ticketed gospel brunch at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.  Watch for more information to come!

All Kinds of SOUL for
All Kinds of People

September 19- 21*, 2014

The Iowa Soul Festival is a celebration that features the dance, music, food and art of the African and African-American communities.  This event is designed to highlight the positive influences that the culture has on Iowa City, the Creative Corridor and Eastern Iowa. 

This event will feature locally, regionally and nationally recognized artists.  Activities will engage current residents while inspiring previous and future residents and students to explore learning, working, living and playing in Iowa.  Enjoy live entertainment, soul food, African-American inspired art, a FUN Zone for the kids, and much more!

Sunday you'll have the opportunity to purchase a ticket to a special Gospel Brunch at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel!
