The Free Movie Series Needs Your Help!

We need your help! There are two ways you can help us continue providing quality programming for the MidWestOne Bank Free Movie Series.

1) Suggest a movie you'd like us to show. Send your ideas to lisa@summerofthearts.org. A few guidelines: PG-13 is the highest rating, we try to stay with 2 hours or less and it must be family-friendly.

2) Want to get more involved in the inner workings of the series? We are looking for dedicated people willing to serve on the committee. This would include helping to chose the movies, planning pre-movie activities and being responsible for the setup and teardown of the equipment each week. These responsibilities can be split up, but we need people who are reliable to make sure the series continues. If you are interested, email lisa@summerofthearts.org. A meeting will be scheduled later this fall to plan for 2011.

Make sure to follow Summer of the Arts on Twitter (Click Here) and Facebook (Click Here) for any updates leading up to this week's film.

About the Free Movie Series

The Free Movie Series, founded in 2005, features a full-length movie on the University of Iowa Pentacrest. The Bijou Theatre provides refreshments each week and some movies offer special events prior to the feature film. The old screen from the Englert Theater hangs from the historic columns of Macbride Hall providing the perfect outdoor theater in the soft green grass under the shade of the old oak trees. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the movie!
