This Week from Summer of The Arts!

Summer of the Arts programming takes a break this week. Be safe and enjoy the Labor Day weekend. There are numerous activities around the area including FryFest on Friday in Coralville and the Regina Fall Fun Festival through the weekend. Oh, there's also that other thing that happens this time of year -- UI Football! GO HAWKS!

We'll be back with two more Friday Night Concert Series shows -- join us on September 10th for Uniphonics and Minus 6. For our last concert of the year on September 17th, we'll be welcoming Big Funk Guarantee and OSG.

Become of fan of Summer of the Arts on Facebook (Click Here) and follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/Summerofthearts for updates on our concerts and events throughout the year.

The Free Movie Series Needs You!

Planning for the 2011 Free Movie Series!

We need your help! There are two ways you can help us continue providing quality programming for the MidWestOne Bank Free Movie Series.

1) Suggest a movie you'd like us to show. Send your ideas to lisa@summerofthearts.org. A few guidelines: PG-13 is the highest rating, we try to stay with 2 hours or less and it must be family-friendly.

2) Want to get more involved in the inner workings of the series? We are looking for dedicated people willing to serve on the committee. This would include helping to chose the movies, planning pre-movie activities and being responsible for the setup and teardown of the equipment each week. These responsibilities can be split up, but we need people who are reliable to make sure the series continues. If you are interested, email lisa@summerofthearts.org. A meeting will be scheduled later this fall to plan for 2011.

Thanks!
