SHOW DATES: June1-3, 2012
The Iowa Arts Festival is designed as an interactive adventure of the highest quality, show-casing over 125 of the highest caliber artists from Iowa and throughout the country. Iowa City sizzles with a diversity of quality performers, visual arts, ethnic foods and fun as thousands enjoy a rich cultural collage. NEW this year -- we will have the Art Fair open Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. on Washington and Dubuque Streets (so it won't be required that you be there Friday evening).
AWARDS
Art Fair will award cash prizes totaling $1000, on Saturday afternoon. Judges will be visiting all vendors and making recommendations for award winners based on the quality of the artwork, the booth and the salesmanship of the person staffing the booth.
JURORS
Comprised of members of the Iowa Arts Festival committee, instructors and artists.
ELIGIBILITY AND REGULATIONS
All artists age 18 and above are eligible. Artists may only display and sell original artwork in the category in which they are accepted and must be present for the duration of the IAF. An artist may sell prints of original artwork, but those prints may not comprise more than 50% of the work displayed for sale. Commercially manufactured items, import items, food, commercially cast jewelry, or works of art from molds and kits are not acceptable.
FEES
The jury fee is $30, non-refundable, per category entered. The booth space fee is $175 for each 10'x10' space, or $200 for a 10'x10' corner space (available on a limited basis). If accepted, you will be required to pay the booth fee by April 15th to confirm your participation.
ENTRY PROCEDURE
We are accepting applications for the 2012 Art Fair through ZAPPlication. Click HERE to set up your profile in ZAPPLication and apply for your show. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2012.
REFUND PROCEDURE
Once accepted, you will need to confirm your participation and pay your booth fee by April 15th. If you withdraw your participation between April 15th and May 1st, you will be re-funded the booth fee less a $25 processing fee. Any cancellations after May 1st will not receive a refund.
ART FAIR LAYOUT
If accepted, you will receive a map of the Art Fair for your reference prior to assignment of booths as well as a final layout once booth placement is confirmed (early May).
