On the night of Friday, July 31st, six writers, six directors and a host of actors will meet, receive assignments, and reconvene 24 hours later to perform six brand new original plays.
The plays will be presented at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 1 at the Englert Theatre after a whirlwind of creative mayhem. Area cultural celebs will judge the works based on several categories and awards will be given at the end of the night.
Last year’s production played to a packed house and resulted in a variety of exciting and imaginative projects that left audiences wowed and entertained.
This production is co-produced by Dreamwell Theatre of Iowa City and City Circle Acting Company of Coralville in association with the Englert Theatre and Iowa City Summer of the Arts.
